In 2012, Global Power was a leading provider of custom-engineered auxiliary equipment and maintenance support services for the global power generation industry. However, when we first met with them, their identity lacked power, memorability and scalability.
Following a brand audit and stakeholder interviews, we created an identity system that reflected their global stature in the energy business. Taking visual cues from giant gas turbines, the symbol has energy in its own right with an ownable “G” formed in the negative space. The distinct, individual pieces of the mark coming together also symbolize the unity of the various companies that make up Global Power. From corporate identity materials to collateral, signage and annual reports, the symbol was a springboard for a dynamic rebranding.
