A key motivational term for the Rangers is the word “kaizen,” meaning “continuous improvement.” To bring that concept to life, we created a large stencil and spray painted the word on a prominent exposed concrete wall in the weightroom.
While the work we created for the fan experience at Globe Life Field focused on the franchise’s history and monumental moments from the past, our branding for the Rangers’ clubhouse was very much focused on the future. From initial meetings with Ranger’s leadership, including their general manager and manager, we gained key insights into what best motivates players. We also aligned on motivational statements and identified Ranger greats who demonstrated leadership and greatness on and off the field.
From the weight room to the film room, the dressing room to the dugout, we helped connect the different spaces of the clubhouse visually, while finding places to include messaging that would help inspire players in ways that were fresh and ownable to the Texas Rangers organization.
In 2020, Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers unveiled their new stadium, Globe Life Field. O&H partnered with the Rangers organization to help design environmental graphics and sculptural installations throughout the stadium, from the front entrance to the player clubhouse, helping to bring pride and history to their new home for both fans and players alike.
